The summer filming phase was successfully completed as part of the major initiative of the Regional Unit of Pieria and the Pierian Tourism Development and Promotion Organization (P.O.T.A.P.) to create a comprehensive photo bank and thematic audiovisual material, which will highlight Pieria as a four-season destination.
The action, which is being implemented with the coordination of the Deputy Governor of Pieria, Ms. Sofia Mavridou, includes hundreds of photos and thematic videos, which will cover all seasons of the year, showcasing the diversity and uniqueness of the region.
The summer phase of filming took place in coastal areas, on Mount Olympus, in the Pieria Mountains, in cultural monuments and in various settlements of the prefecture, with the aim of capturing the experiences that the visitor can have in every corner of Pieria.
The director Mr. Costas Arvanitakis, the photographer Mr. Periklis Merakos, the cameraman Mr. Dimitris Batzikostas and the Production Manager Ms. Mata Kourti participated in the summer filming. At the same time, the adults Ms. Eleni Katsamaga, Ms. Loukia Katsamaga and Mr. Elias Bouronikos participated as well as the children Maria – Anna Dimou and Dimitris Panolis.
In her statement, the Deputy Governor of Pieria, Ms. Sofia Mavridou, underlined: “With this project, we are giving Pieria the opportunity to have a comprehensive and modern audiovisual archive. This is a significant investment in the image and extroversion of our region, which will substantially support our tourism promotion.”
The project continues with filming for the fall and winter so that the final result will constitute a valuable promotion tool for the Pieria Regional Unit, the Pierian Tourism Development and Promotion Organization (P.O.T.A.P.) and all tourism stakeholders.
