FTI is further expanding its Labranda hotel chain for the coming tourism year after it grew from 24 to 38 properties in its first year.
There will be 10 more hotels next year, including two in Morocco where the tour operator will triple its winter programme to 45,000 seats a week on full-charter and non-stop flights. There will also be three more Labranda properties on the Canary Islands and on Rhodes, and one each in Turkey and Egypt.
One year after the hotel brand’s launch, FTI CEO Dietmar Gunz said he was “very satisfied with the group’s growth”. The initial properties, with 8,000 rooms in total, welcomed about 500,000 FTI guests and had an overall occupancy rate of 95%, according to the Munich-based group.
