Educational trips to Crete for Thomas Cook and DER Touristik trainees

Trainees of major tour operators Thomas Cook and DER Touristik took part in familiarization trips to Crete and Mallorca.

Twenty eight Thomas Cook apprentices explored the island of Crete as part of their ninth training program.

The tour program included jeep safari in the hinterland and travel to cities Rethymno, Agios Nikolaos and the island of Spinalonga.

In addition, trainees visited hotels and participated in a workshop on digital services with practical instructions on applications and 3D cameras.

Seventy-four Der Touristik trainees also traveled to Crete by participating in workshops at the Apollonia Beach Resort & Spa Hotel.

Also, trainees at Thomas Cook’s sales department took part in a training trip to Mallorca, where they participated in the first and second annual training program.

They learned about the duties of tour guides and visited hotels owned by the tour operator.
