TUI Russia and Mouzenidis Group struck a strategic agreement covering all the activities of the latter in Greece.
According to TUI, this agreement may triple the volume of its bookings in the Russian market for Greece.
The agreement was announced today by TUI Russia General Manager, Mr. Taras Demura, General Manager of Mouzenidis Travel Russia, Mr. Alexandros Tsantekidis and the managing director of Mouzenidis Travel Greece, Mr. Gregoris Masmanidis, at a press conference in Moscow.
Under the agreement, hotels with Mouzenidis Travel’s guaranteed quotas shall be booked through the TUI Russia website and through a network of the tour operator’s travel agents.
In addition, tour operators will cooperate on air travel and land travel in Greece.
Part of Mouzenidis Travel tour operators for Greece will be renamed to host TUI tourists while its subsidiary airline Ellinair will increase its capacity and frequency of departures to serve tourists for TUI Russia.
Thus, Mouzenidis Travel is provided with an opportunity to receive mass bookings for popular Greek hotels as well as an additional channel of distribution in the Russian market and a guaranteed passenger volume and TUI, on the other hand, will enjoy more favorable market prices in Greek hotels along with more airline seats via Ellinair.
TUI Russia will continue its summer program for Greece through Ural Airlines.
According to Mr. Tsantekidis, this new strategic alliance is supported by Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT).
