The German tour operator Schauinsland-Reisen has recorded an increase in bookings of over 20% compared to last year for the 2025 summer holidays so far. This was stated by CEO Gerald Kassner, on the occasion of the opening of the ITB exhibition in Berlin.
As he said, even more impressive is the increase in bookings to Egypt and Turkey, which exceeds 50%, which he attributed to the strategic expansions of the tourism organization. Bookings to the Spanish and Greek islands are also growing at double-digit rates, as are Bulgaria and Tunisia. The long-haul travel sector is also recording double-digit growth rates compared to the previous year.
The growth is also reflected in sales. For the current financial year, the Schauinsland-Reisen boss is predicting a sales increase of at least 15%.
