More than 250 travel agents from Germany’s third-largest tour operator, alltours, are set to visit Greece in May as part of an extensive familiarization program with the destination.
The goal of the trip will be to give travel agents the opportunity to gain experience in hotels and taste authentic Greek hospitality.
- The destinations to which the trips will take place are Crete, Rhodes, and the Olympic Riviera.
The visit programs have been designed to offer a comprehensive overview of the destinations, with hotel visits, sightseeing tours, and at least one evening meal in a traditional Greek tavern.
Alltours’ Contracts and Product Manager, Mr. Oliver Grosse Kleimann, said: “It is important to us that participants do not just get to know the hotels, but also get a real feel for the surrounding areas and, above all, the warm hospitality for which Greece is known.”
According to Alltours, well-informed travel agents tend to achieve better sales for hotels they have visited themselves, as their personal experience enables them to offer personalized and reliable advice to customers, making a difference in sales and customer satisfaction.
