jet2 Group | Record 4.4 million seats for winter holidays in 2026-2027

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have become the first airline and major tour operator to launch their flight and holiday package programme for the winter 2026-2027 season, announcing a record capacity of 4.4 million seats available – a 4% increase compared to winter 2025-2026.

The expanded programme is aimed at travellers seeking to escape the long British winter, offering sun breaks to 14 popular destinations, with departures from 13 regional airports across the UK.

Expanded Network – New Connections

New additions include direct flights from Bournemouth to Malaga and from Luton to Palma de Mallorca, while routes to Morocco, Malta and Madeira are being strengthened. The programme also includes popular destinations such as the Canary Islands (Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura), Spain (Alicante, Malaga), Palma, Portugal (Faro, Madeira), Turkey (Antalya), Malta, as well as the Moroccan cities of Marrakech and Agadir and Paphos in Cyprus.

In total, more than 600 outbound flights per week will operate during peak periods, offering travellers even greater flexibility.

Growing demand for winter getaways

Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy said the move was in direct response to the growing demand for winter getaways:

“We’ve seen continued interest from customers looking to escape the British winter, so we’ve made sure to make our 2026-2027 winter programme available from all our UK bases. It’s our biggest and most exciting winter programme yet.”

He said the airline’s strategy remains focused on meeting real demand, with the aim of offering flexibility and choice for both individual travellers and independent travel agents.

New announcements coming

While the 2026-2027 winter sun holiday programme is already in full swing, Jet2 has not yet said its final word. The company has announced that in the coming weeks it will also reveal details of ski packages, city breaks and trips to Iceland, completing the picture of a rich and varied winter programme.
