Significant performance is recorded by overtime in the sectors covered by the Digital Labor Card (DLC), from January to July 2025, according to data from the ERGANI Labor Market Service.
Overall, in the 7th month of 2025, recorded overtime in the sectors included in the PKE appears to have increased by 80% compared to the corresponding 7th month of 2024.
Specifically, more than 3.5 million overtime hours have already been recorded in 2025, a number increased by 1.5 million hours compared to the corresponding 7th month of 2024.
Regarding the month of July specifically, recorded overtime hours appear to have increased by 76% compared to July 2024. At the same time, all sectors to which the PKE is applied are recording an increase.
The highest increase in recorded overtime is again present in the Tourism sector both on a 7th month basis (+728%) and on a monthly basis (+541%), while the Catering sector follows with an increase of +301% on a 7th month basis and +154% on a monthly basis.
The increase in the remaining major employment sectors where they were compulsorily included in the PSKE remains particularly significant by:
1. Retail: 105% on a 7-month basis ~ 89% on a monthly basis
2. Industry: 65% on a 7-month basis ~ 25% on a monthly basis
