Southern Aegean and Ionian Islands Regional Governments have recently taken actions for the tourist promotion of their territories.
South Aegean Region undertook financial coverage of ferry travel, accommodation, and touring costs of Catholic priests, Pilgrimage Centers representatives and General Tourism travel agents from Poland on the island of Syros, as well as one day trips to Tinos and Naxos islands. The familiarization trip will take place from November 29 to December 4.
Ionian Islands ran a full-page advertisement of the region’s islands in the TV program section of Russian newspaper TRUD. The newspaper is circulated throughout the former USSR and the total cost for the ad will amount to 3.000 euros.
