Strategic study for Cyclades and Dodecanese tourism

South Aegean Region, in collaboration with the Institute of Greek Tourist Enterprises Confederation (INSETE) and Marketing Greece company, composed a comprehensive tourism strategy study in Cyclades and Dodecanese, which will be presented next January in Athens.

The strategic plan will be followed by the South Aegean region during the next years and offer each destination a separate, valuable interactive tool, based on highly detailed and analytical, scientific data on each island of Cyclades and Dodecanese.

According to Marketing Greece General Manager Joseph Parsali, “the plan provides data for forming tourism products portfolios, strategic competitive identity of the islands as well as promotion and communication guidelines.

South Aegean Region authorities also invited Dodecanese tourism professionals to a brainstorming event with the aim of collecting as much data and ideas as possible ahead of the official presentation of its three-year tourism strategy.

Sector professionals had the opportunity to share ideas and speak about the challenges ahead while gaining insight into the the specifics of the project.

It is noteworthy that the South Aegean Region makes up 40 percent of Greece’s tourism product.
