European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker said a possible ‘Brexit’ could have unforeseeable consequences on the ‘coexistence’ of Europeans, in an interview to media group Funke Medeingruppe to be published Monday.
‘Everyone is focused on Britain remaining in the family’, he said. Juncker stressed that the Brits would act ‘in a reasonabel manner’ and vote for the country staying in the EU on the June 23 referendum.
He pointed out that the union had reached a ‘fair’ deal with London providing the UK with more flexibility.
In February, UK Prime Minister David Cameron struck a deal with the other EU-27 members, guaranteeing his country’s extended its social relationship with the EU that provides protective terms for the financial status of the City district in and allows Britain to implement new limitations on EU migrants to the UK.
