Twenty-five representatives of major travel organisations from thirteen countries were given tours of the municipality of Messolonghi, in central Greece, and the surrounding landmarks by local authorities.
They were also briefed about sports and cultural events that take place in the area during the year.
Sites they visited included the Vasso Katraki museum of etchings in Aetoliko and Agia Triada, which produces a mud recognised for its healing properties, and they also had an opportunity to sample the local cuisine.
The guests were welcomed by the mayor of Messolongi, Nikos Karapanos.
Attendees came from Belarus, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Ukraine.
