“Obsessions end together with the SYRIZA-ANEL government definitively. And with them, populism dies. We will never again play Greece on dice…We will offer employment opportunities and not allowances for poverty.”
“I present to you the plan for Greece that we deserve. A country reborn and alive. Thriving. Optimistic. Safe. Free. This is the vision of New Democracy, which will be implemented by a party that is united, renewed and based on the trust of the Greek people,” said Greece’s Main Opposition leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis in his closing speech on the second day of the 11th conference of New Democracy.
“We must at last put en end to the nihilistic notion that all politicians are the same. We are not all the same, and we have to fight against the fatalistic attitude that foreigners decide on everything,” he continued.
“We are driven by the power of reason. With have truth as a compass. With responsibility and consistent reference to those we represent. Because we are the great popular party of Greece. We are the party of all Greeks,” the president of the New Democracy stressed.
He also confirmed that New Democracy, once elected, shall reduce taxes on businesses, property and social benefits.
