High speed Silver Arrow train goes on test run in Thessaloniki Fair

The new “Silver Arrow” high speed train, that reaches speeds of up to 250 kilometers per hour, went on a test run in Thessaloniki on Saturday, travelling to nearby Katerini, ANA reports.

Greek Deputy Transport Minister Nikos Mavraganis announced the Silver Arrow train will be used on the improved Athens-Thessaloniki link that will be ready by the end of the year and will complete the journey in 3.5 hours, down from more than five hours currently.
