A new museum, housing the private art collection of Vassilis and Eliza Goulandris, will open to the public on October 1, at 13 Eratosthenous Street, in the Athens district of Pangrati, ANA reports.
In the 11-storey building of 7,250 sq. metres, works of art of the modern and contemporary European avant-garde will feature paintings and sculptures by Cezanne, Van Gogh, Gaugin, Monet, Degas, Rodin, Toulouse-Lautrec, Picasso, Bonnard, and Braque among others, as well as works of prominent Greek artists such as Parthenis, Bouzianis, Vassiliou, Hadjikyriakos-Ghikas, Tsarouchis, Moralis, Tetsis and others.
