Surgeons at the Ophthalmological Clinic of the General Hospital of Corfu have successfully combined the implantation of an artificial iris with a glaucoma operation in the eye of a patient suffering from post-trauma defects for the first time in Greece, ANA reports.
The innovative surgery was carried out on Wednesday, January 29 and officially announced on Monday and its cost was fully covered by the CGH.
