Health official: Inoculations with Johnson & Johnson's vaccine begin in Greece on April 19

The first 33,600 doses of Johnson & Johnson’s single-shot vaccine will be delivered to Greece on Wednesday, said Health Secretary-General for Primary Health Care Marios Themistokleous at Monday’s live briefing, ANA reports.

Inoculations with this vaccine can therefore begin on Monday, April 19, he added.

Meanwhile, citizens aged 18-59 who belong in high-risk groups can begin booking their appointments on April 16. School teachers and anyone aged between 55-59 will be able to book their inoculation appointments as of April 21, while the online platform for all citizens aged 50-54 will open on April 24.

As of June, he noted, younger age groups will also start to receive the vaccines.
