Traffic restrictions and security measures are coming into effect in Athens during the visit of Pope Francis on December 4-6, the Hellenic Police said on Friday, ANA reports.
The following roads will be closed on Sunday (Dec. 5) between the hours of 13:00 and 20:00:
– Vassilissis Sofias Avenue at the segment between Alexandras Avenue and Vassileos Alexandrou Street heading towards the city center
– Vassileos Konstantinou Avenue at the segment between Merkouri Street and Vassileos Alexandrou Street heading towards Vassilissis Sofias Avenue.
