An apprenticeship program for shipyard technicians, a branch of an Elefsina technical school operated by the Greek Public Employment Service (DYPA), began operation on the island of Syros on Thursday, ANA reports.
The apprenticeship is part of the Professional School of Apprenticeship of Elefsina, and the specialized training is called “Technician of the shipping industry”.
The school’s opening was announced by ONEX Neorion Shipyards CEO Ioannis Vamvakousis and DYPA Deputy Governor Yianna Hormova at ONEX’s facilities on Syros.
