The Second Annual Alaska Greek Gala is held this weekend in Anchorage.
Apart from being a fundraiser whose proceeds go to the Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, the event is also an effort to preserve Greek customs and traditions and to share them with Alaskans.
Gala organizers, Aliki Joannides says, that “It’s a great opportunity for the Anchorage public to come and enjoy Greek culture, experience it through Greek cuisine, and traditional dancing.”
The Alaska Greek Gala will take place on Saturday March 5 at the Sheraton Hotel in the Howard Ballroom. Tickets are $125 per person.
