Phedon Papamichael to direct ‘The Silver Arrow’ movie in early 2017

After his directorial debut earlier this year with “A Beautiful Day”, Phedon Papamichael has been hired by Green-Light International to direct his first feature film, “The Silver Arrow”, in early 2017.

Papamichael has worked as a highly-regarded cinematographer for years, and also earned an Oscar nomination for his work on “Nebraska”. He frequently partners with Greek-American director Alexander Payne, on “The Descendants”, “Sideways”, and the upcoming “Downsizing”.

Casting details for “The Silver Arrow” have not yet been released, but the story is a heist thriller that follows a group of thieves looking for the Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow, a famous pre-World War II racing car.

The script was written by Nika Agiashvili, who previously directed “A Green Story”, the biographical film centered on the life of Earth Friendly Products CEO Van Vlahakis.

Green-Light International’s last film, “Imperium”, starred Daniel Radcliffe, and they are currently producing an upcoming feature with “50 Shades of Grey” star Jamie Dornan, so we can expect some serious star power in “The Silver Arrow”.
