The largest exhibit of Greek ceramics to ever be on display to the public opened in the exhibit Gods, Heroes and Mortals in Ancient Greece at Jerusalem’s Bible Lands Museum.
The exhibit kicked off the museum’s 25th anniversary celebration. The museum says that they plan to keep the exhibit on display for at least the next two years.
The artifacts on display are from the collection of Elie Borowski, a Polish-born Canadian-Jew who died in 2003.
The collection has amazingly preserved ceramic wares demonstrating classic art work with many of the pieces dating back to ca 500-400 BC.
