The administrators of the web channel “Heritage Inmoshum”, asked Canadian students if they could recognize the language that was heard in a sound bite from a Greek television show. The answers, were quite impressive, as no one recognized the language with the first try, and the majority thought that it was either Spanish or Portuguese.
After the soundbite, the students watched the video again with the people speaking and using Greek subtitles. After some hesitation, the majority realized it was the Greek language, mostly because of the alphabet.
