The presentation of two of Greek Musical Modernism’s emblematic works, concludes the Athens Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2016-17 inaugural artistic period, with a June 7 concert at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.
At its last symphonic concert for this year, Philharmonia, with Byron Fidetzis conducting, takes part for a third year at the Greek Musical Feasts of 2017, presenting two important works by pioneering Greek composers of the first half of the 20th century, Dimitris Mitropoulos and Nikos Skalkotas. Works by Simos Papanas and Pericles Koukos complete the program.
