On the occasion of the exhibitions “DIVINE DIALOGUES: Cy Twombly & Greek Antiquity” and “DESTE AWARD. An Anniversary Exhibition, 1999-2015” being hosted at this time, the Cycladic Art Museum organizes the “Cycladic Late Night Party” on Thursday, June 8th. From 21:00 to 24:00, guests will be able to visit both exhibitions at a reduced ticket, while enjoying a special evening with drinks, and music from the Prudence Tapes.
The exhibition “DIVINE DIALOGUES: Cy Twombly & Greek Antiquity” presents for the first time 27 works by contemporary American artist Cy Twombly, inspired by Greek mythology and his contact with Greece, next to 12 works of antiquity, setting up a unique and original dialogue between ancient Greek and modern art.
The anniversary exhibition for the DESTE PRIZE celebrates the 18th years since the first organization, and includes works by the 9 award winning artists until 2015.
