Ten days are left until the curtain falls on the documenta14 contemporary exhibition in Athens, with about 280,000 visitors recorded by the end of June in more than 40 venues around the city.
According to the statistical analysis of the visitors’ numbers, carried out by the University of Kassel in cooperation with the University of Athens and headed by Professor Michael Hellstern who has been researching documenta’s visitors data for 20 years, 47 percent of the visitors are Greeks, 25 percent are Germans, while the rest come from 57 countries around the world.
The numbers have been collected since April 6 at the entrances of every venue, as well as in every event, performance, concert, speech etc.
The exhibition will continue until September 17 in Germany’s Kassel city.
