Two foreign nationals detained in Chania, Crete after antiquities found in sailboat

Two foreign nationals were detained in Chania, on the island of Crete in Greece, on Tuesday, after coast guard officials found antiquities and diving equipment on their sailboat during a check.

The two suspects will have to explain to Greek authorities how they got hold of the specific objects which will be assessed by the competent archaeological agency. The sailboat has been brought to the port as the investigation gets under way.
