The trailer for “Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again”, the musical sequel to the 2008 “Mamma Mia” hit, was officially released by Universal Pictures and features almost the entire original cast plus some new spectacular additions, including Cher, according to the following article by greekreporter.com:
The new film takes place in the present day, but also includes flashbacks to the original story of how the main characters all met and forged relationships. Amanda Seyfried and Meryl Streep return as the formidable mother and daughter duo at the center of the story, while Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, and Stellan Skarsgard return as the three original suitors.
Lily James will be playing the younger version of Donna (Meryl Streep) in the flashbacks.
Even though the original “Mamma Mia” was filmed on the beautiful Greek island of Skopelos, the sequel was filmed in Croatia.
The film is scheduled to be released next summer, on July 20.
