Τhe Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, which has been hosting the most recent findings from the underwater archaeological excavations of the world-famous Antikythira shipwreck, will offer free tours of the show every weekend until March 18, it said on Friday, ANA reports.
“The Antikythira Shipweck: The Adventure Continues”, which opened at the foundation in December 2017, is also open to the public on a daily basis for free. Tours will be offered at 12:00 and 13:00 every Saturday and Sunday, and booking is not necessary.
The shipwreck, which sank off the island of Antikythira in southern Greece during the 1st century BC, carried a unique cargo of world-renowned works of ancient art and technology, including the statue “The Youth of Antikythira” and the Antikythira Mechanism.
