Guards in museums and archaeological sites in Greece called off their labour action on Thursday, after reaching an agreement with the ministry of culture over a benefits dispute and the hiring of staff, ANA reports.
“After meeting Culture Minister Lydia Koniordou and Deputy Minister Konstantinos Stratis, the union is suspending the strikes called in museums and archaeological sites, waiting for the leadership of the ministry to adhere to what was agreed on,” the Panhellenic Association of Employees Guarding Antiquities announced in a press release.
