National Archaeological Museum “Dawn of Writing’ tours for World Book Capital Athens

ATHENS – The National Archaeological Museum is organising thematic tours of a modular character in the framework of Athens’ year as World Book Capital in 2018, ANA reports.

“Starting from prehistoric societies before writing emerged, where linear motifs on seals acted as a link between iconography and writing, the tours follow a course back to the first written Greek language to the Minoan palatial archives on Linear A and B tablets, from Pylos to Mycenae,” noted the museum in its announcement.

The dates and time of the tours are as follows: June 5 at 15:00, June 6 at 12:00, June 14 at 15:00 and June 15 at 12:00.

Those interested should make a reservation at the telephone number 2132144814.
