Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Culture Minister Lina Mendoni, the director of Acropolis Museum Nikos Stambolidis, and the president of the Acropolis Museum Dimitris Pantermalis on Monday attended a ceremony at the Acropolis Museum for the placement of the Fagan fragment in its position in the Parthenon frieze, expressing hope for a good start, ANA reports.
The symbolic and practical gesture made by the autonomous region of Sicily to hand over the fragment, which was part of the eastern frieze of Parthenon and had been in Palermo since 1818.
