Greek poet's house converted into Municipal Museum in Monemvasia

The Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Region of the Peloponnese, and the Municipality of Monemvasia are proceeding with the conversion of the house of the poet Yiannis Ritsos, in the Castle City of Monemvasia, into a Municipal Museum, through a Cultural Development Programme Agreement, ANA reports.

According to a ministry announcement, the cooperation for the creation of an exhibition space dedicated to Yiannis Ritsos, one of the most iconic figures of modern Greek poetry, was highlighted during the inspection by the Culture and Sports Minister Lina Mendoni of the late poet’s home and the monuments of the city.
