The National Opera on Wednesday announced an additional fifth performance of Giacomo Puccini’s “Tosca” at the Herodes Atticus Odeon – to take place on Tuesday, June 4 at 21:00 – after tickets for the original four performances quickly ran out, ANA reports.
The production, which launches Athens-Epidaurus Festival events at the Herodes Atticus Odeon in 2024, was originally scheduled to be performed on June 1, 2, 6, and 11. It is conducted by the Artistic Director of the Athens State Orchestra, Loukas Karytinos, while the direction, sets and costumes are by acclaimed director Hugo de Ana.
Sales of tickets for the new date on June 4 began on Wednesday at 10:00, at the box offices of the National Opera at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre (2130885700 from 9:00 to 21:00), the Athens & Epidaurus Festival box offices and online at more.com.
