The Acropolis has once again achieved a place among the cream of global experiential tourism, having been distinguished among the 16 top attractions in the world, in the Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best 2025 awards of the world’s largest travel platform Tripadvisor.
The awards were given to natural wonders or human creations that shocked travelers from all over the world, with the Acropolis taking 16th place in the global ranking of the top attractions on the planet, accumulating 4.6 stars, 11th place in the corresponding European ranking, and 14th place in the global ranking of the best tourist attractions for the 25th anniversary of Tripadvisor. At the same time, the Acropolis Museum was named the 16th top attraction for 2025 in Europe.
At the same time, Santorini is home to one of the world’s top experiences and the best in the “Sailing and Day Cruises” category, the Premium Small-Group Catamaran Cruise with BBQ, which ranked 13th in the global experience ranking and 9th in the corresponding European ranking. It is a semi-private catamaran cruise, with a barbecue meal and drinks, lasting 5 hours. Another all-day cruise, the All Day Cruise -3 Islands, to Agistri, Moni and Aegina, departing from Piraeus, is also among the best experiences in Europe, which ranked 22nd in the experience ranking and 7th in the global sailing and day cruises ranking.
The awards continue in the food and drink category, where Santorini Wine Stories with Sunset Tour and Dinner emerges as the 16th best experience of its kind in the world, while further down, in 22nd place, is the Tour and Wine Tasting in Mykonian Land and in 23rd place is the Greek Cuisine Cooking Class in Santorini.
One of the best amusement parks and water parks in Europe is located in Corfu (Aqualand Corfu Water Park) and occupies 17th place in the relevant ranking according to travelers, while the best cultural and historical experiences in Europe include the Athens Scenic Bike Tour with an Electric or a Regular Bike (17th place).
The Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best awards honor the highest level of excellence in travel. They are awarded to those who receive a large number of very positive reviews from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period. Of the 8 million listings on the platform, less than 1% achieve this milestone.
