Wage employment flows stay positive in Greece during June due to tourism

The balance of hirings/dismissals recorded the best performance since 2001 in the period January-June 2018, leaving a surplus of 298,171 job positions, according to “Ergani” IT system on wage employment flows in the private sector, ANA reports.

 In June, the balance showed a surplus of 33,620 job positions, the second highest June performance since 2001, with new hirings totaling 283,201 and dismissals totaling 249,581 in the month, mainly thanks to the tourism sector’s contibution to employment.
