Travel receipts in Greece increased by 1.1 billion euros in 2024, compared to 2023, according to data from the Bank of Greece.
Specifically, tourism receipts amounted to 21.7 billion euros, recording an increase of 5.4% compared to 2023. Last year, moreover, arrivals of non-resident travelers increased by 9.8% compared to the previous year.
In December alone, travel receipts were 435 million euros or 108 million euros higher compared to the corresponding month in 2023 (+33.3%), while arrivals of non-resident travelers increased by 15.3%.
