The Venizelos Tombs at Chania, Crete, will be included in the new privatization “superfund” which will exploit state-owned assets, such as Greek railways, postal service and a number of utilities, following an amendment tabled in the parliament on Friday regarding the properties of Greek National Tourism Organisation (EOT).
Based on the amendment tabled by Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos the tourist properties of EOT will be included in the new privatization fund, called “superfund”, even though these properties are already been exploited by the Public Properties Company (EAD).
Speaking to Flashnews.gr, the mayor of Chania, Tasos Vamvoukas, said that the Venizelos Tombs belong to the Municipality of Chania and will not become one of the “commodities” of the new fund.
