Greek Australians ask Greece's government not to tax paternal houses in Greece

The Greek Diaspora of Australia will send a letter of remonstration to the Greek government requesting their paternal properties in Greece not be taxed under the new laws.

The initiative is organised by the Federation of Greek Orthodox Communities in Australia after an extra ordinary meeting of its members in Melbourne, according to Greek-Australian newspaper ‘Neos Kosmos’.

The president of the federation, Harris Danalis clarified it concerned only the paternal house of the Greek Australians and not other assets held.
