Greek railway workers continue strikes until July 17

Greek railway workers have decided to continue their industrial actions in trains and the suburban railways on Thursday, July 14.

The metro connection to and from Doukissis Plakentias station and the Athens Airport ‘Eleftherios Venizelos’ will not function.

The unions decided the cargo trains would remain out of operation until Sunday, July 17.

The workers are protesting against the privatisation of the railway, especially TRAINOSE, after the binding bid made by Italian railways (TRENITALIA) and the non signing go the workers’ collective contract.
