The Antetokounmpo brothers, NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis, 22, and his 24 year old brother Thanasis, appeared at the tank division bootcamp of Avlonas, Wednesday, were they were drafted in the Greek military.
After receiving the necessary papers from the military conscription office, they appeared at the training camp and are expected to receive a deferment of services until next May due to sports obligations.
Both athletes have chosen to serve in the communications division in the army. Military services in Greece is compulsory, with athletes of national teams in all sports, like the two brothers enjoying some perks and privileges, according to Greek law.
