A total of 5,179 substitute teachers will be recruited in primary and nursery schools across Greece.
Specifically the Ministry of Education recently announced the recruitment of 2,360 primary school teachers, 1,335 nursery school teachers, 1,261 physical education teachers, while 223 teachers will be recruited for appointment at special education schools.
According to the Ministry of Education the new teachers must report to the relevant Directorate of Primary Education for duty between Wednesday and Friday, in order to be appointed in time for the official start of the academic year on Monday, 12 September.
