Isidoros Dogiakos was re-elected as the head of the Athens Appeals Court prosecutor’s office on Saturday with 39 votes out of 82 ballots cast, in the elections held by the appeal prosecutors in Athens.
His colleague, Antonis Liogas, received 30 votes and came second. Dogiakos submitted his candidacy in the last minute, after the Supreme Court offered a written assurance that there’s no impediment to his election, as a decision imposed by the Appellate Disciplinary Board to forefeet his salary for 40 days had not been presented to him.
