Greek police ELAS restructured: 52 stations close down

In Greece’s capital, Athens, out of the 240 police stations that operate today, only 188 will remain. This is only a part of the points of the restructuring plan for the police services that was announced on Thursday,  the Police Leadership reported.

Between the stations that will merge are the Police Stations of Moshato – Tavros, Drapetsona – Keratisi, Erytrea – Kifisia, Papagou – Holargos, Voula – Vouliagmeni, Nea Halkidona – Nea Filadelfeia.

Moreover, there will be an enhancement of the Group of Crime Prevention and Suppression (OPKE), a creation of a four-digit- number for the psychological help of the policemen, the absorption of the Cyber Crime Department and the creation of a Single Information Center.
