The Hellenic Airforce released an impressive video showing a member of a Super Puma helicopter rescue team rappelling onto cruise ship “MEIN SCHIFF” to lift a German man in need of medical treatment. The ship was sailing 6 nautical miles south of the island of Samos in the Aegean Sea, when the captain issued a distress signal after a 55-year-old passenger fell ill.
The Super Puma rescue team is seen approaching the ship at night and two of its members with two of its members descending onto the deck, where they harness the patient into a stretcher and winch him up to the helicopter. The man was subsequently flown to a hospital in Samos.
