Hellenic Meteorological Services issue severe weather warning for Greece

The Greek Meteorological Services (EMY) has issued a severe weather warning staring from late Thursday. According to the emergency forecast, the weather will deteriorate substantially with heavy rainfalls, low temperatures, strong winds and topical hail storms until Sunday.

The severe phenomena are expected to hit the regions the Ionian islands, Epirus, western Peloponnese, western and central mainland Greece and possibly spread to Thessaly. The sever front will spread to central and western Macedonia and the eastern Peloponnese on Friday and Saturday, while the eastern parts of Greece, including the islands could feel the effects of the weather front.
