The coordinating committee on nationwide notary unions has announced that its members will abstain from their duties in relation to the foreclosures scheduled for Wednesday.
In their statement the notaries call for the government to ensure that the foreclosures are safely carried out, while introducing the necessary legislation to provide protection of primary residences from debts towards the State, pension funds and local government. They also called for an improvement of existing legislation regarding debts towards banks.
