Cyprus Environment Minister Nicos Kouyialis announced on Thursday that an investigation into recent aerial spraying across Cyprus found that there was “nothing wrong” and that the public “should not be concerned”, according to SigmaLive Greek.
The Ministry received numerous complaints from the public a few months ago regarding a possible connection between seasonal aerial spraying alongside a spate of health issues.
Forestry Department Director Takis Tsintides echoed Kouyialis’ comments, also adding: “We will begin aerial spraying for caterpillars within the next few days. We obtained the relevant permits and there is no reason for concern.”
