The Pan-Hellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO) has announced a 24-hour strike in protest of pensions cuts that will disrupt Greece’s passenger ferry service on Thursday, November 24.
On the same day, the country’s public sector union federation ADEDY has announced a general strike and a protest rally in Klafthmonos Square in downtown Athens protesting against planned reforms to labor laws.
The strike will commence at 00:01 on Thursday and end at 24:00 forcing many shipping companies to announce changes to their scheduled routes.
