Greece integrated again into the European Space Agency

After an absence of eight years due to budgetary cuts Greece is again reinstated in the optional programmes of the European Space Agency (ESA).

The country plans to invest 8.2 million euros over the next three years. The decision of Athens was tabled in the council of ministers of member countries of ESA, held last week in Lucerne, Switzerland.

The reintegration of the country became possible after efforts to find funds, announced the Greek General Secretariat for Research and Technology.

Participation in the programmes offer opportunities to strengthen national space industry and the Greek scientific community.
